A woman was hit by a car after it mounted the pavement in a shocking crash.
Footage circulating online appears to show a silver BMW car veering off the road in Clapton and colliding with a woman before coming to a halt outside a shop.
In the video, the car can be seen travelling along Upper Clapton Road, close to the junction with Brooke Road, just after 10.30am yesterday (September 22).
It then appears to suddenly veer off the road, colliding with a bike rack and a woman on the pavement.
The woman appears to be thrown into the air before coming to a rest some feet away.
Passers by quickly rush to the woman’s aid, as well as what looks like one of the car occupants.
London Ambulance Service has confirmed that it sent an ambulance crew to the crash.
It said a woman was treated at the scene before being taken to a London trauma centre as a priority. Her condition is not known at this time.
The Hackney Gazette has contacted Metropolitan Police for more information.
