A crash on a major road caused traffic jams stretching back into east London.
The accident occurred this morning (June 10) on the A12 in Hackney Wick and caused major delays.
Traffic built up along both A12 and A106 Wick Road, leading to congestion at the Wick Road exit diverting off the A12.
Before 9am, there were long tailbacks from Hackney Wick to Fish Island, from Wick Road to Old Ford Road, stretching back towards Bow in east London.
Just over 15 minutes later, an AA map showed that one lane on the A12 was blocked, causing further traffic queues.
Traffic was "slow" along the A12 for the next hour, according to a map on the AA's website.
Although the incident did not appear to be serious in nature, traffic remained heavy along Wick road, even after 10am.
However, by the time it reached 10.45am, traffic had cleared along the A12.
