Five teenagers have been arrested after an alleged kidnap attempt in which a Jewish man was told to get in the boot of a car.
Police say they received reports that the victim, a Jewish man, was walking down Moundfield Road, Stamford Hill, at around 5.30pm last Friday (April 26) when the incident took place.
A car allegedly pulled up beside him, and two people approached him, with one reportedly telling the victim to get into the boot of the car.
The car then drove off. The incident was subsequently reported to police.
Five teenagers – three aged 17, one aged 15 and one aged 18 – have been arrested and taken into custody in connection with the police investigation.
