A man has been arrested after crashing a car following a police pursuit.
Metropolitan Police officers attempted to stop a vehicle believed to be stolen on St Barnabas Terrace at about 3.31pm on Thursday (April 11).
The driver failed to stop for police and a pursuit was authorised.
A Met spokesperson added: "A short while later the vehicle crashed on Wardle Street, Homerton and the driver ran from the scene.
"Following a short foot chase the man was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and a number of driving offences."
"He remains in custody."
Earlier in the day Wardle Street was closed both ways between A102 Homerton High Street and Homerton Grove.
The 236,242,276,394,425,488,W15 bus routes were on diversion for more than two hours.
