Two council by-elections are set to take place in Hackney on the same day as the vote for London Mayor.
Vacancies in Hoxton East and Shoreditch ward, and De Beauvoir ward, will be filled at the election on May 2.
Whoever is elected in Hoxton East and Shoreditch will replace Cllr Steve Race and join Labour’s Cllr Kam Adams and Cllr Anya Sizer.
The by-election in De Beauvoir will replace Cllr Polly Billington and the winner will represent the ward alongside Labour’s Cllr Joe Walker.
Both Billington and Race have been selected as Labour candidates at the general election for constituencies outside of London.
The two by-elections will take place on May 2, coinciding with votes for London Mayor and the London Assembly.
Nomination papers to be on the ballot must be submitted by 4pm next Friday (April 5).
