A 17-year-old boy who was stabbed to death has been named and pictured for the first time.
Nathan Bawuah died at the scene of the stabbing in Hackney Road, Shoreditch, late on Saturday evening (February 17).
A boy, also aged 17, has since been charged with his murder, and is set to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court today (February 21).
A police spokesperson said that Nathan’s family have been informed of his death and continue to be supported by specialist officers.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but a post-mortem examination is expected to take place today at Poplar Mortuary.
The 17-year-old charged with Nathan’s murder was arrested on Monday (February 19) as forensic work at the crime scene continued.
