A driver fled the scene of a two car crash in the early hours of the morning.
Police were called to Stoke Newington High Street at around 2.40am yesterday (September 13) to reports of a crash involving two cars.
The driver and passenger of one of the cars were rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service (LAS).
Their conditions have since been assessed as not life-threatening.
A police spokesperson said that the driver of the second car fled the scene and that enquiries are ongoing to trace him.
Pictures from the scene showed at least two damaged cars in the middle of the road.
A large police cordon blocked the high street for much of yesterday morning, forcing the diversion of nine bus routes.
A LAS spokesperson said that the service sent two ambulance crews and a medic in a fast response car to the scene of the crash.
