Two people had to be taken to hospital after an early morning crash in a high street.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) was called to a crash in Stoke Newington High Street shortly before 3am this morning (September 13).
Medics treated two people at the scene before taking them to a major trauma centre “as a priority”.
LAS responded to the incident by sending two ambulance crews and a medic in a fast response car.
Pictures from the scene appeared to show at least two damaged cars in the middle of the road.
A large police cordon blocked the high street for much of this morning, although the road has since re-opened.
The incident forced the diversion of nine bus routes that usually pass through the high street.
Metropolitan Police have confirmed that they attended the incident and that more information will be provided in due course.
