London Ambulance Service has issued a statement after a shooting in Stoke Newington.
The incident happened in Stoke Newington High Street at around 3.15pm today (August 11).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.
An advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, an ambulance crew, and a medic in a fast-response car also attended.
A man was found injured and treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
His condition is currently unknown.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.
A crime scene has been put in place.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called today (11 August) at 3.15pm to reports of a shooting on Stoke Newington High Street.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, an ambulance crew, and a medic in a fast-response car.
“Our crews treated a man at the scene before taking him to hospital as a priority.”
Hackney MPS tweeted: “Enquiries are being carried out at pace after a man was shot in #StokeNewington High St shortly after 3pm today.
“No arrests have been made at this stage, and a scene is in place which will be affecting people’s travel through the area.
“We are working hard to establish who is responsible & will keep everyone updated as soon as possible - we know this is a hugely concerning incident.
“Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact us quoting CAD4206/11AUG or contact.”
