Pictures from the scene of a stabbing in Hackney Wick show forensics officers at work and spots of blood staining the pavement.
Police have launched an investigation after two men presented themselves at an east London hospital early this morning (February 11) with stab injuries.
One of the men, aged 26, sadly died, while another, aged 24, remains in hospital.

Officers were called at around 4.30am, and established that both men had been stabbed in the area of White Post Lane, where a crime scene is currently in place with a forensic examination ongoing.
Photos from the scene show the police cordon in place and several forensics and police officers in attendance, while one also shows stains of blood stain on the pavement.

A police spokesperson said an urgent investigation is under way, led by detectives from Specialist Crime and supported by colleagues from the Met’s Central East BCU, though there have been no arrests at this time.
Police are asking anyone with information relating to the stabbing, or any witnesses, to call 101, ref 1222/11feb.
