Photos show the extent of work as a high street remains closed after a building partially collapsed.
Hackney Council contractors have created a supporting structure to stabilise the existing scaffold and the building in Stoke Newington A10 High Street.
The road is closed to pedestrians, cyclists and traffic between Tyssen Road and Brooke Road after the collapse on Friday, January 27
The council said it is not able to provide a firm timescale for the work to be completed but that the road is likely to remain closed until at least next weekend.
Bus routes 67, 76, 149 and 243 are being diverted, while route 276 is operating on a shorter route ending at Amhurst Road/Hackney Downs station and starting at Hackney Central station.
The council has suspended the following low traffic neighbourhood (LTN) restrictions: Bouverie Road, Lordship Road, Nevill Road, Oldfield Road, Stoke Newington Church St bus gate and Yoakley Road.
