A Guardian cartoonist is crowdfunding to publish his latest book.
Martin Rowson will promote the crowdfunder for Rogues' Gallery during a live podcast event with Jack Aldane from podcast, The Booking Club, at Yum Yum, in Stoke Newington, on November 20.
Jack said: "The book is a selection of cartoons that have been sourced from around the world on social media. As part of the Draw Challenges, Martin's been asking his followers to draw a political figure who finds themselves in the limelight - usually for not good reasons - so Priti Patel, Matt Hancock or Keir Starmer for example.
"He discovered this world of cartooning talent and put it together in a book with what he likes about each one and the nuances of how each person approached the task."
Martin is working with Unbound, an independent publisher that crowdfunds for book titles. Jack said Martin is aiming to raise £20,000 and that he is 31 per cent of the way there.
The event will take place from 1pm to 5pm at Yum Yum on Stoke Newington High Street.
Tickets cost £25 and include the live podcast, a Q&A session and a selection of canapes from Yum Yum's menu. They can be bought at unbound.com/books/rogues-gallery/.
