An artist is hoping a film will deepen people’s relationship with Hackney Marshes.
From June 28 to July 5, a unique immersive art installation, We Are Plants, We Are Grass, We Are Hackney Marshes, will take centre stage at Middlesex University.

Created by Hackney movement artist Claire Loussouarn and filmmaker Dominique Rivoal, the installation will offer a multisensory experience of Hackney Marshes.
The film showcases the unique character of Hackney through an exploration of the relationship between the urban landscape and natural environments.

Designed to appeal to those who appreciate Hackney's green spaces, as well as the arts, the event brings together captivating visual art with dynamic soundscapes.
It features a four-screen setup, immersing attendees in the seasonal changes and daily rhythms of one of Hackney’s most beloved natural reserves.

There will be a private view of the artwork on June 28, from 6pm to 8pm, and an artist talk on July 3 at 5.30pm.

The event will be held at the Middlesex University's TV studio.
Admission is free but registration is required.
